Don't miss out on thousands of pounds in allowances for overseas workers!
08 May 2009
If you're planning to do contract or temporary work while you are in the UK you could be entitled to claim thousands of pounds in relocation allowances. A contractor on an average daily rate can boost their income by over £5,700 per year, the equivalent of $11,567 Australian Dollars.
To enable you to take advantage of these allowances you need to register to work through what is called an 'Umbrella Company'. Umbrella companies manage your UK payroll and are a fully legitimate and very popular option for lots of contractors.
- They take care of all your payroll administration including your UK tax and National Insurance payments
- They allow you to offset your relocation expenses which could boost your take home pay by thousands of pounds.
FastrackUK is delighted to announce our new partnership with leading UK Umbrella company provider, Danbro who will take care of your payroll administration for the duration of your UK stay and assist you in off-setting your relocation expenses against your tax bill. Relocation expenses that you can off-set include;
- Travel to and from home country - your flights between your home country and the UK for the first 5 years
- Subsistence for the first 2 years - including your UK rent and £50 worth of food each week
- Business Related Expenses -any other HMRC approved business related expense
However to benefit from these relocation expenses you must be recognised as an 'International Contractor' which means signing up with Danbro BEFORE you leave home.
